Stolen Velour returns to Kindergarten Records with another confident display of intricate sound design and mind-bending rhythmic fluidity. In equal parts an embrace of silliness on the dancefloor and a serious piece of floor-shaking heft, Jasper builds on the palette of his last EP with the label, Onyx, and elevates Stolen Velour’s sound to new heights. In Stolen Velour’s words, Jasper is “an ode to the ambiguity, symbols smeared and washed together. It’s fun, it’s play, it's club music"

A pair of label regulars switch up the flavours on the remixes. Sobolik strips back the opener to inject some space and a touch of dub, whereas Despina’s take on ‘I Know, I know’ tames some of the og’s wilder impulses to laser-in on strobing breaks and a wobbly low-end groove.
